I was wide awake at about 3am this morning, thinking that it was 11am in Kiev. Praying that it was being handed to the right person, someone who would ensure that we have an appointment in record time. My daily devotional starts with a bible verse. When I opened it and began to read today's verse, I had to laugh. It was the exact verse that's on the header of our blog - one I claim as my own. "For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." ~ Jeremiah 29:11
Talk about a reminder of who is in charge. For as much as I would like to think that I'm in control, hmmm... not so much! Even though I don't know what's happening, God knows. I may need to go to sleep tonight with that plastered across my forehead as a reminder - lol!
Can I ask for your prayers once again? Not for me this time. One of my friends lost her husband last night. He had been sick for several years and it wasn't completely unexpected, but that doesn't make it any easier. Gary had been hoping to hang on for another couple months (first grandbaby is due in December), but just didn't have the strength to keep fighting. Thanks for including Kathy and their family in your thoughts.
I'm sorry :(
